Field Trip: Sweets Workshop

Today, AKP students visited Oimatsu and learned to make Japanese traditional sweets (和菓子わがし).  You may find their website here.

First, we listened to the instructions from the sweets artisans.

Then, we tried making our own!

 

 

 

Vivian Dutton (Oberlin) made a chrysanthemum!

We made five each — four were packaged and brought home.

The fifth we enjoyed with delicious green tea.
