Today, students had a disaster drill. They learned the proper procedures during an earthquake or typhoon. This year’s students arrived in Japan in the middle of Typhoon Jebi, so they truly understand the importance of being prepared in an emergency!
Important vocabulary:
危ない! あぶない! It’s dangerous!
助けて! たすけて! Help!
逃げろ! にげろ! Run!
After the earthquake drill, students practiced walking to the designated meeting place after disasters – the nearby Kyoto Imperial Palace.
