Japanese Sweets Making Class

Today after Japanese class, everyone went to the Wagashi (Japanese sweets) Classroom to learn how to make wagashi!


First, everyone listens to the chef’s explanation. Then everyone makes their own!

It’s okay to eat your leftover pieces!

 

Sweet and delicious!
You use your hands to make them.

 

“It’s difficult!”

There are many tools we use as well.

Chopsticks too!

Try not to leave any piece behind!

 

Finished!

 

 

 

 

At the end, everyone got to eat the wagashi they made.

 

 

It’s great to eat something you made yourself!

The other two handmade wagashi will be souvenirs. Many students planned on having tea and sharing them with their host family.
